Mince Spies Musical

Snoop and Creep, two spies, arrive at the court of King Herod and discover he is in a rage. Three wise men have recently visited the palace asking to see the newly-born king. Herod thinks this baby will be a threat to his throne and sends the two spies off on a mission to follow the wise men and find the baby. Accompanied by Crackers, a cook, they travel to Bethlehem, but will the spies manage to crack the case?

Synopsis

The Christmas Spies is a musical that tells the story of King Herod, Wise Men, Guards, Snoop, Creep, Crackers the cook, Advisers, Courtiers, Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, Innkeepers, Jacob, and Animals as they come together to celebrate the miraculous event of Christmas. The musical captures the essence of the season, weaving together themes of love, hope, and the spirit of giving.

Throughout the musical, the characters navigate various challenges and obstacles, each contributing to the rich tapestry of the story. From the comedic antics of Crackers the cook to the solemn and reverent presence of Mary and Joseph, the musical presents a diverse and captivating array of personalities that resonate with audiences of all ages.

About Alison Carver

Alison Carver studied Music at Manchester University, followed by postgraduate studies in London and at the RNCM. She spent several years working as an orchestral percussionist, pianist and theatre musical director. During this time, she began composing children’s music and was commissioned to write songs for BBC Television and Radio.

Now working in primary music education, Alison writes songs and musicals for the children she teaches and is delighted that it is published by Kevin Mayhew. She is able to draw upon her experience as a professional musician to create music of character that is varied and appealing, which gives pleasure to performers and listeners alike!
